The Corona Virus Disease of 2019 (COVID-19) has spread rapidly throughout the world since its outbreak in Wuhan Province of China in December of 2019. Barely three months after the outbreak the devastating health and economic effects of the disease are currently being felt in poor and rich countries. The common response to the pandemic in all countries is severe restriction of population movements by governments. The emerging evidence shows that the disease affects the elderly disproportionately more than the youth. However, little information exists on how the effects of the restrictions if people are obeying it and of the disease spreading pattern itself.  Some members of the community are already feeling the socio-economic and health impacts of COVID19. It is on this premise that the spatial knowledge community in Kenyatta University saw the necessity of consolidating various data sets to develop solutions that can help to understand the impacts of COVID19. The Hub comprises a team of volunteers, including former and current students, staff members and technical support team from our partners.
